Scenic And Emerald Cruises Partner With STIC To Tap India's Luxury Travel Market

Scenic Tours APAC Pte. Ltd. and STIC GSA Services Private Limited have announced a strategic partnership to expand Scenic Luxury River Cruises and Emerald River Cruises in the Indian market. The partnership, announced on August 24, will focus on building awareness of the two brands, strengthening trade engagement and growing the luxury river cruise segment among high-net-worth Indian travellers.

Under the partnership, STIC will lead sales and market development activities for Scenic and Emerald in India, working with travel advisors, tour operators and other trade partners. The collaboration will also include product training and resources for the travel trade, with Scenic’s APAC team supporting STIC in developing the brands and identifying new business opportunities.

Focus On The Indian Travel Trade

STIC will use its existing network of travel partners across India to strengthen distribution for Scenic and Emerald Cruises. Its work will focus on developing trade relationships, increasing awareness of the brands and generating demand for their river cruise offerings.

Anthony Laver, General Manager, Sales & Marketing, APAC, Scenic Group, said India is an important growth market for the company and that STIC’s market presence and understanding of the Indian travel trade would support the development of a sales base for both brands.

Scenic And Emerald's River Cruise Offerings

Scenic Luxury River Cruises and Emerald River Cruises offer journeys across destinations by river, with land extensions also available. Scenic focuses on an all-inclusive luxury river cruise experience, while Emerald offers a premium contemporary approach with a range of European and Asian river journeys.

The partnership will position river cruising as an option for Indian travellers seeking premium holidays that combine destination experiences with onboard comfort and convenience, according to the companies.

Part Of Scenic Group's APAC Strategy

The partnership is part of Scenic Group’s wider strategy to strengthen its presence across the Asia Pacific region. Its Singapore-based APAC team will support the development of Scenic and Emerald products across key regional markets.

Scenic Group was founded in Australia in 1986 and operates Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Emerald Cruises & Tours and Mayflower Cruises & Tours. The company says it designs, builds, crews and operates its own ships through its in-house shipbuilding division.
