Saudi’s New Package Visa Makes Visiting Easier Than Ever

Planning an international holiday often means navigating multiple bookings, separate visa applications and countless confirmations. Saudi is aiming to simplify that process with the launch of Package Visa, a new fully digital initiative that integrates tourist visa applications directly into curated travel bookings.

Currently being rolled out through qualified travel and tourism service providers across select international markets, the initiative is expected to expand further in the coming months. The move is part of Saudi’s wider efforts to make the country more accessible as it continues its rapid transformation into one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism destinations.

A More Connected Way to Travel

Rather than booking flights, accommodation and visas separately, eligible travellers can complete much of the process through a single booking journey. By integrating tourist visa applications directly into curated travel bookings, the Package Visa allows visitors to arrange flights, accommodation and optional experiences in one place, creating a more seamless journey from planning to arrival.

Because experiences can be added at the point of booking, travellers can plan more comprehensive itineraries before they arrive, making it easier to explore different regions of Saudi rather than treating the trip as a single-stop visit. For travel providers, the initiative also creates opportunities to offer more integrated holiday packages tailored to different interests.

“As Saudi’s tourism sector continues to grow at a pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors,” said His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi Minister of Tourism. “By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.”

Building on Saudi’s Tourism Growth

The Package Visa is part of a series of initiatives introduced in recent years to simplify travel to Saudi. Since launching its tourist e-Visa programme, the country has also introduced visa-on-arrival facilities and the Stopover Transit Visa, making it easier for international visitors to explore the country.

These measures have coincided with significant growth in tourism, with Saudi welcoming more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025, underscoring its growing appeal among leisure and business travellers alike.

The new initiative is available exclusively through qualified travel and tourism providers that meet defined service standards and offer 24/7 customer support, ensuring travellers have assistance throughout their journey.

Places to Visit in Saudi

As Saudi continues to expand its tourism offering, visitors can explore a mix of historic cities, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, luxury coastal resorts and diverse natural landscapes.

• Riyadh blends modern skyscrapers with centuries-old heritage. Explore the UNESCO-listed At-Turaif District in Diriyah, browse Souq Al Zal and visit the Kingdom Centre Sky Bridge for panoramic city views.
