Sanctuary TOFTigers Wildlife Tourism 2014 Awards given

Satpura Tiger Reserve is voted the most visitor-friendly wildlife destination of the year

The Sanctuary TOFTigers Wildlife Tourism Awards 2014 winners were announced at the end of September in New Delhi. The awards celebrate the best of the best in nature tourism in India. Ramesh Suyal, a local guide from Corbett, was awarded the Billy Arjan Singh Memorial Award for Wildlife Guide of the Year 2014 David Raju from Forsyth Lodge, Satpura, was given the Lodge Naturalist of the Year award Satpura Tiger Reserve won the Visitor Friendly Wildlife Destination of the Year and, SAI (Save Animals Initiative) Sanctuary, Karnataka, won the Wildlife and Tourism Initiative of the Year award. Other winners include the Corbett Foundation Wildlife Trails, UK Pugdundee Safaris Orange County, Kabini and Kipling Camp, Kanha.
