Rajgir, the third arm of the popular tourist triangle in Bihar (the other two being Nalanda and Pawapuri), is holding its annual festival from November 28-December 13, 2015. The Rajgir Mahotsav will be held at the city&rsquos Qila Maidan, near the picturesque Ratnagiri Hill. Enjoy the tonga race, the dangal contest, and other cultural contests. There will be a book fair, a children&rsquos film festival, an amusement park for children, an agricultural fair (Kisan Utsav), etc. Cultural teams from India and abroad will hold music and dance recitals. Earlier known as Rajgriha, this was a favourite monsoon retreat for both Buddha and Mahavira. Rajgir is connected with Patna (100km away) by road and rail (via Bakhtiyarpur). Shramjeevi Express connects Rajgir with New Delhi.
