In an effort to make Rajasthan the most sought-after wedding destination, Rajasthan Tourism Development Board recently announced wedding packages for both its luxury trains, Palace On Wheels and Royal Rajasthan On Wheels. The package will allow guests to book the entire train for a period up to eight days for $370,000. Those with the means to do this can enjoy getting married while the trains wind their way through the state's fabled landscape. At first though, the trains will merely ferry guests to selected wedding venues in the state. Depending on the response, the tourism department will host weddings on the trains as well. Currently, the Royal Rajasthan On Wheels is offering wedding packages for palace venues in Udaipur.
