The chances of re-launching the airline before July 2021 remains bleak

Australia's Qantas Airways has cancelled all its inventories till March 2021. Flights are no longer available for public booking. Earlier, Qantas had already cancelled all its international flights for the rest of the remaining year.

According to Qantas Airways CEO Alan Joyce the chances of re-launching the airline before July 2021 remains bleak. Presently, save a few flights to New Zealand, all others have been cancelled till October 2020.

&ldquoWe have to position ourselves for several years where revenues will be much lower and that means becoming a smaller airline in the short term,&rdquo Joyce has said. The Australian carrier has also grounded a number of its premium aircrafts.&nbspAll double-decker A380 aircrafts typically used for long-haul international trips, for three years and six Boeing 747 aircrafts permanently.

Though a few international flights continue to operate in the island continent, the situation remains quite grim due to the spread of the virus.  A number of American carriers including Delta and United have been carrying out services between Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sydney.
