On a nature trail through Tungareshwar Sanctuary

Learn about the importance of forest corridors around Mumbai on a walk with the BNHS on January 18, 2015

Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary (an hour&rsquos drive from Mumbai) that forms a corridor between Mumbai's Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary is an easy level forest trail. Join the walk organised by BNHS where experts will explain the importance of forest corridors and help you identify the flora and fauna. You can see three different types of forests dry deciduous, moist deciduous and semi evergreen here and also some birds like Rufous Treepie, Verditer Flycatcher, Shikra, Black-hooded Oriole. The charge for non-members is Rs 800.
