It's Turtles All The Way Down At This Turtle Festival In India

The first turtle festival of Odisha is being commenced on 12^th January aiming to spread awareness about their conservation. The beach will be elevated with the blend of culture and cuisines for the guests. It&rsquos time to celebrate those little wonders of nature with the sense of safeguarding them from all the threats. The beaches of Odisha are some of the largest rookeries of the Olive Ridley turtles in the world. This vulnerable specie of turtle needs to be protected to ensure their survival in the future. Conducted by the Cox and Kings Foundation along with the Humane Society International/India and Action for Protecting of Wild Animals (APOWA), this festival is planned to be an annual event. To ensure least interaction of humans with the turtles the time of the festival does not coincide with their arrival but the Odisha Turtle Festival would be enough for you to enjoy the day at the seashore.
