No-tobacco ban at tourist sites in Bihar

Flouting the rule will attract a fine of Rs 200

Bihar Tourism Department and Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation have come together to ban the use of tobacco-based products at all tourists sites in Bihar as well as in hotels, restaurants, offices, buses and luxury cars owned by the two departments. Anyone found breaking the rule will be fined Rs 200. The no-tobacco ban covers all tobacco-based products, including cigarettes, gutka and khaini (chewing tobacco).
