Mumbai Opens Doors To City's First Tree Top Walkway

Nature lovers have a reason to rejoice, as Mumbai has just introduced its first-ever elevated nature trail. Located at Malabar Hill, the newly opened trail is a game-changer for those seeking a nature retreat, especially those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, which is always on its toes.

New Tree Top Walkway in Mumbai

Inspired by Singapore’s famous Tree Top Walk, this 705 m long walkway took nearly four years to build and is designed to give visitors a glimpse of Mumbai’s natural beauty from the top.

Managed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the trail winds through the Malabar Hill forest, offering views of the Arabian Sea. Another add-on to its appeal is the glass-bottom deck, which takes you inside the forest from beneath your feet while you are standing atop. There’s also a special bird-spotting area where you can watch different species in their natural habitat.
