Located in the picturesque landscapes of Kashmir, the Gulmarg Gondola is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the region’s beauty. Known as one of the highest cable cars in the world, it attracts thousands of tourists each year. However, the soaring ticket demand has often led to long queues and black-market ticket sales.

To tackle these issues and make the experience smoother for visitors, authorities have introduced a new morning ticketing slot aimed at ensuring fair access for all. Visitors can now purchase cabin tickets directly from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Main Waiting Hall, ensuring a more organised and hassle-free boarding experience. The introduction of the morning ticketing window aims to reduce the chaos around ticket sales, ensuring that tourists can access tickets without relying on unauthorised vendors who often sell tickets at inflated prices.

This new system is expected to bring more transparency and convenience to tourists, addressing previous concerns about long queues and uncertainty regarding ticket availability. The authorities hope that the move will help curb the issues related to ticket scalping, making the popular attraction more accessible to genuine visitors.

In addition, the authorities have extended the operational hours of the Makhdoom Sahib Ropeway in Srinagar, which will now operate daily from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. This extension is expected to benefit tourists and pilgrims visiting the region.
