New Highway To Reduce Travel Time Between Noida to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

In good news for commuters living in Delhi-NCR, a new six-lane highway connecting key areas has been announced. Taking to Twitter, Union Minister for Road & Transport Nitin Gadkari shared pictures of the plan, saying that the route will reduce travel time from Noida and Delhi to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway by three to four hours.

The new highway will connect Noida, Faridabad, and other cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) with the Delhi-Mumbai expressway, significantly reducing the travel time from Noida to the expressway.

With fewer lanes and improved road conditions, traffic congestion is expected to decrease, leading to smoother and quicker journeys. This development is expected to positively impact regional connectivity. Commuters and businesses can anticipate reduced travel times and enhanced accessibility between Noida and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, facilitating improved connectivity and convenience for the region.

In a commitment to sustainable development, the project also incorporates environmentally friendly practices. One such practice is the use of inert material for embankment construction. By employing inert materials, which have minimal impact on the environment, the project aims to minimize resource depletion and reduce ecological disturbance during the construction of embankments.

How does the expressway help

Currently under construction as part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, the expressway is set to become India's longest highway, spanning 1,386 kilometres when fully completed. This extensive road network will feature 40 interchanges, greatly enhancing connectivity to various cities, including Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat.
