Addressing A Critical Healthcare Gap

According to the foundation, CHDs are among the most common birth abnormalities in India. These conditions often require urgent, costly treatment that many families cannot afford. The festival aims to address this gap by establishing a consistent, transparent funding stream while also raising awareness of the issue.

Jyoti Sagar, founder trustee, emphasises that timely medical intervention can dramatically boost survival rates for affected children. She has also observed the festival’s role in connecting the foundation with families in need.

Genesis Foundation’s Work And Reach

Over the past 25 years, the Genesis Foundation has supported the treatment of more than 5,400 children across India.

The organisation works with a network of hospitals and medical professionals to ensure timely diagnosis, treatment, and recovery support.

It provides assistance specifically to families earning a monthly income of INR 20,000 or less. According to the foundation, all donations from individual donors are fully allocated to treatment costs for children, with no administrative expenses deducted.

Additionally, the organisation is registered under the relevant provisions of the Income Tax Act and is authorised to receive foreign contributions.

Collaboration With Scapes Hospitality

The 2026 edition of the festival is being held in association with 1842 Kasauli by Scapes. According to reports, the collaboration reflects a shared emphasis on sustainability, heritage preservation, and community engagement.

According to Sameer Mutreja, founder and promoter of Scapes Hospitality, the festival embodies a fusion of purpose-driven activities, robust community participation, and responsible development. These combined efforts, he believes, not only raise awareness of critical healthcare needs but also deliver real, measurable impact.
