Mountain Film Festival

On April 17, The Banff Mountain Film Festival will reach New Delhi as part of its World Tour 2015. Supported by Columbia Sportswear, this is the first time that the world's most prestigious adventure and outdoor sports film festival has come to India. Most of their films are based on the outdoors and extreme sports &ndash skiing, trail running, mountain biking, etc.

This year's line-up includes two seven-minute short films. Dan MacAskill The Ridge, became a viral sensation on YouTube shortly after it was released it has been shot in the Isle of Skye in Scotland where MacAskill rides a mountain bike on the Cuillin Ridge. Vasu Sojitra Out on a Limb features the Indian-origin disabled solo backcountry skier, who lost his right leg owing to a blood infection when he was nine months old.
