Starting December 1, tourists can explore the stunning Himalayan destinations in the Mangan district, including Yumthang, Dikchu, Lachung, and the breathtaking Gurudongmar Lake. This announcement was made by a senior official of the Sikkim government on November 27. The region is now prepared to welcome visitors back after a five-month hiatus caused by heavy rainfall, which resulted in significant landslides and damaged essential roads and bridges along the North Sikkim highway. "After examining the current situation and road conditions in Mangan district, it has been decided to allow tourists in a staggered manner," said Tourism and Civil Aviation Department Principal Secretary CS Rao.
