In a bid to spotlight the lesser-known wonders of Uttarakhand's Kumaon Region, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, in collaboration with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC), has announced the launch of a special tourist train, dubbed the "Manaskhand Express."

According to ancient Indian scriptures, the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand is called Manaskhand and is steeped in mystique and cultural heritage.

The inaugural journey of the Manaskhand Express is set to embark from Pune on April 22, with its final destination at Tanakpur Railway Station in Uttarakhand slated for April 24. Travellers can hop aboard the train from various stations, including Lonavala, Panvel, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Jalgaon, Itarasi, and Bhopal (Rani Kamlapati Station).

Promising an enriching ten nights and eleven days excursion, the tour will encompass visits to enchanting locales such as Nainital, Bhimtal, Almora, Chaukori, Purnagiri Temple, Haat Kalika Temple, Katarmal, Kainchi Dham, Chitai Golu Devta, Jageshwar, Shardha Ghat, Patal Bhuvneshwar Temple, Nanakmatta Gurudwara, Champawat, and more.

For a nominal fee, tourists will experience comfortable 3AC train travel, with special consideration for enhanced comfort by keeping the Middle Berth unbooked.
