Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has launched a 3-nights/2-days Konkan package tour keeping the budget conscious traveller in mind. The regular package is pegged at Rs 5,400 and includes sleeper class train seat with a non-AC accommodation and transport facility. The deluxe package costs Rs 8,700 and includes three-tier AC coach seat, AC accommodation and transport.  The tour starts from Mumbai&rsquos Dadar station and covers the beaches of Tarkarli, Kunkeshwar and Ganpatipule, and the Sindhudurg Fort. It also includes sightseeing to religious places like the famous Ganpati temple at Ganpatipule, Suvarn Ganesh temple and Kunkeshwar Shiva temple.

An official of MTDC said, "Konkan is among the most famous places of tourist interest in Maharashtra, full of architectural marvels, forts and pristine beaches along the hills. Tourists will also get to relish the unique cuisine of the region at an affordable rate".
