India's first luxury cruise line will venture on its debut journey in October travelling from the financial capital of the country Mumbai to everybody's favourite holiday destination Goa, according to a report by the Times of India.

The ship, Angriya, has been named after Admiral Kanhoji Angre, who was an admiral in the Maratha navy. With a capacity of nearly 400 passengers and a journey time of up to 16 hours, the cruise aims to be a luxury experience between the two cities. To begin with, the journey will be a direct one without any stopovers along the way, although, future plans include adding stops at Dighi, Dabhol, Malvan and other such places along the coast. The service was slated to begin from August, however, was later postponed to December before being rescheduled back to October.

There will be eight restaurants with a variety of cuisines on-board for guests to dine at, along with a 24-hour coffee shop. The report adds that current plans dictate that the ship will depart from the two ports on alternate days at 500 pm. There are seven categories in which bookings can be made with prices ranging between @INR 7,000-12,000. This will further be inclusive of two meals and brunch. Other benefits include the permission to access the open pool on the deck of the ship.
