Fourteen years after designer Gianni Versace was shot dead at the front door, his house, Casa Casuarina, has been opened to the public. Not as a museum, mind you, though there is much inside that is museum-worthy. The property opened its doors in March as the luxury boutique hotel The Villa by Barton G. The building more or less remains the way it was when Versace lived there, although some adaptations have been made.
