Iceland will Allow Vaccinated Travellers to Skip Test and Quarantine

OT Staff

Travellers who have official proof of being vaccinated twice do not require a test, or quarantining in Iceland. The country is providing a digital vaccine certificate that is the key to a risk-free trip. Howver, as of now, non-EU citizens and Americans are not allowed to enter the borders.

Reports say that the certificate will be available online for residents online, &ldquoin accordance with existing European standards and the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis," also commonly known as the &lsquoYellow Card.&rsquo More than 4,500 citizens in Iceland have received the second shot of vaccine and have been provided with a yellow card which is the ticket to travel in and around the country.

The government announced recently that this will allow the citizens to travel without worrying about strict border restrictions.

Till May 1, 2020, travellers from outside have to undergo the test twice upon landing, followed by six to seven days of isolation, and a test again. After all this, you&rsquore free to explore the Land of Fire and Ice/
