Karnataka's Golden Chariot To Resume This December; Here's All You Need To Know

The Golden Chariot, Karnataka’s luxury tourist train, will resume operations on December 14 with updated features and itineraries. Operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the train offers a unique way to explore the cultural and natural beauty of South India.

Pride of Karnataka

• Route: Bengaluru → Bandipur → Mysore → Halebidu → Chikmagalur → Hampi → Goa → Bengaluru

• Duration: 5 nights, 6 days

• Start Date: December 14, 2024

Jewels of South

• Route: Bengaluru → Mysore → Kanchipuram → Mahabalipuram → Thanjavur → Chettinad → Cochin → Chertala → Bengaluru

• Duration: 5 nights, 6 days

• Start Date: December 21, 2024

Additional trips are planned for January, February, and March 2024, giving more travellers a chance to experience these journeys.

What the Golden Chariot Offers

The train combines luxury with convenience, featuring:

• Accommodation: 40 plush cabins, including one designed for differently-abled guests.

• Dining: Two restaurants (Ruchi and Nalapak) serving local and international cuisine, and a bar (Madira) offering curated beverages.

• Recreation: The Arogya Spa with therapy and fitness facilities.

• Technology: Wi-Fi, smart TVs, CCTV security, and advanced fire safety systems.

The all-inclusive package covers meals, house wines, guided tours, monument entry fees, and external meals as per the itinerary.
