A visit to Dublin may not be the same again. Luxury hospitality operator Belmond is launching the Grand Hibernian, a luxury train service in Ireland, this year. Renovated Mark 3 carriages will transform into 20 luxury en-suite cabins, two dining cars and an observation car. The designs feature Belmond Grand Hibernians Celtic knot woven throughout in colours matching the tartan of the counties in which the train will travel. The interiors reflect Dublins Georgian architecture with inspiration from the flora and fauna of the Irish landscape. Belmond has a legacy of operating some of the worlds most famous trains including the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and Belmond Royal Scotsman. This is the companys seventh luxury train.
