International Fireworks Display Contest in Macau

A not to be missed pyrotechnic display in Macau in September, 2015

The Macau International Fireworks Display Contest is said to be the largest competitive fireworks event in the world. This colourful event, will take place on September 5, 12, 19, 27 and October 1, 2015, in front of the Macau Tower overlooking the Nam Van Lake. The contest is organized by the Macau Government Tourist Office. In 2015, 10 teams will be competing for the top honours. The teams from France and Austria will display their fireworks on September 27, which coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival and World Tourism Day the teams from Australia and Mainland China will stage their fireworks displays on October 1, which coincides with Macau&rsquos National Day. Visitors can enjoy the pyrotechnic show from vantage points on the Macau Peninsula and the Taipa Island.
