Before a new year could start, India witnessed, in a matter of firsts, a dynamic glass bridge across the sea in Kanyakumari, the country's southernmost point. The advanced architecture exemplar, officially inaugurated on 30 December, bridges the gap between the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the imposing Thiruvalluvar Statue, two of the area's iconic landmarks. In addition to enhancing the travelling experience in the area, the shining glass bridge is an explosive new promise that can potentially set off a new era of coastal tourism.
