A Disneyland-Style Park Is Coming Up In Manesar—Here's What We Know

If your idea of the perfect holiday includes castle turrets, giant rides, and a bit of magic, here’s something to get excited about: a Disneyland-style amusement park is coming to Manesar, right on Delhi’s doorstep.

Spread across a massive 500 acres, this upcoming mega attraction will be located near the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, making it easily accessible from Delhi, Gurgaon, and other major hubs. Think rollercoasters, immersive shows, themed restaurants, and all-day fun—India is finally getting a theme park of global proportions.

The proposed project is part of Haryana’s larger vision to turn itself into a world-class tourism destination, and it comes at a time when the state is already investing in bigger cultural festivals and infrastructure upgrades. For travellers who were left nostalgic after the closure of Gurgaon’s Kingdom of Dreams, this new park could fill that entertainment void—with flair.

While the official partners haven’t been named yet, early details suggest the development will draw inspiration from the likes of Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney, and California’s iconic theme park. The plan is to create a space that celebrates fantasy, family travel, and destination entertainment.

And that’s not all—Haryana’s cultural calendar is getting a glow-up too. The Surajkund Crafts Mela is set to become a thrice-yearly affair, with a Diwali Fair and a Book Fair joining the lineup. There’s also a push to expand the International Gita Mahotsav.

If you're a theme park lover, keep an eye on this one—Manesar might soon become India’s very own magical kingdom.

A Look At Other Disneyland Parks Around The World

The Walt Disney Company currently operates six Disneyland-style parks across the globe, each known for its unique regional flavour and international appeal:

Disneyland Resort – California, USA

The original Disneyland Park opened in Anaheim in 1955. Built under Walt Disney's direct supervision, it remains one of the most iconic theme parks in the world, welcoming millions of visitors annually.

Walt Disney World Resort – Florida, USA

Located in Orlando, this massive complex includes four theme parks, including the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. It's the most visited vacation resort globally and spans more than 25,000 acres.

Disneyland Paris – France

Opened in 1992, this park blends Disney magic with European sensibilities. Attractions include Sleeping Beauty's Castle with a dragon lair, reflecting France's medieval folklore.

Tokyo Disneyland – Japan

Launched in 1983, Tokyo Disneyland was the first Disney park outside the US. Known for its impeccable hospitality and detail-oriented design, it's one of the most successful Disney properties globally.

Hong Kong Disneyland – China

Opened in 2005, this park combines Chinese culture with Disney traditions. It's more compact than its counterparts, making it family-friendly and easily navigable.

Shanghai Disney Resort – China

The newest of the Disney parks, it opened in 2016 and is noted for embracing Chinese cultural sensibilities in its attractions and architecture. Its centrepiece is the Enchanted Storybook Castle, the largest among all Disney parks.
