For those who enjoy travelling by train, Indian Railways has new luxury additions. A new Vistadome air-conditioned coach has been added to the VisakhapatnamKirandul passenger train. Flagged off by Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu, it has huge windows, an observation lounge, a GPS-based information screen, glass roofs and LED lights. With this, the 128km experience of travelling between Visakhapatnam and Araku Valley hill station is expected to become dreamlike. The other exciting development is the luxury chair compartment Anubhuti for Shatabdi Express trains (pic). Slated to become a part of the trains by the end of 2017, these coaches cost 2.9 crore each and feature a GPS-based information system, toilet occupancy indicators and LED lighting.
