Indian Railways adds new routes and trains

New trains and routes in Assam, Arunachal and Andhra to boost rail connectivity

Travelling with the northeastern region became a little easier with the introduction of the 15613/15614 Guwahati Murkongselek Intercity Express and the 55719/55720 Dekargaon-Bhalukpong Express. This has been possible following the inauguration of two new railway section in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Besides, the Rangiya-Rangapara North Passenger will now run up to Dekargaon with the new numbers 55721/55722  while the Dekargaon-Harmuti Passenger will now run up to Murkongselek under the new number of 55813/55814.

On the southern part, the Andhra Pradesh Express (AP Express) will be running between Delhi and Visakhapatnam (Vizag), operational under the East Coast Railway. The superfast air-conditioned 22415/22416 AP Express will run thrice a week. Passengers have to be careful while booking this new train as there is a daily train with the same nomenclature operational under the South Central Railway and running between Hyderabad and Delhi this train will be renamed the Telengana Express from November, 2015.
