Kerala wins award for the Most Innovative Use of Information Technology at the recently held award function

The latest edition of the National Tourism Awards was held last month and saw Kerala being honoured with eight awards, including six in the marketing category. Madhya Pradesh, too, won laurels in the category of Best State/Union Territory for Comprehensive Development of Tourism. Gujarat and Karnatakas state tourism boards won the next two positions in this category. Out of Keralas wins, the one for Most Innovative Use of Information Technology speaks of its effectiveness in using social media to its advantage (its Facebook page, for instance, boasts of nearly 13 lakh likes.) Kerala also won in the Responsible Tourism category.
