As winter tightens its grip, large parts of India are beginning to feel a noticeable chill, with cold winds and unsettled skies marking the seasonal transition. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Punjab on Thursday, warning that cold-wave conditions may develop in isolated pockets as temperatures continue their downward slide. Residents have been urged to take precautions as the biting cold sets in across the region.
