Hummingbird watching in Arizona

See the migration of the world--s smallest birds across Arizona

Author : OurTeam

Sedona in Arizona, United States, is home to several species of these birds. Although the birds can be seen round the year, not the number of species and the birds may vary. To protect the bird and spread awareness about their conservation, the Hummingbird Society of Sedona holds an annual festival, which will be held between July 31 and August 2 this year. The festival is timed to coincide with the presence of a large number of southbound migrating hummingbirds which pass through Sedona on their way to wintering grounds in southern Mexico. The festival (ticketed and free entries) will include presentations on the birds, banding demonstrations, art exhibits, garden tours and birding trips, shopping opportunities at the Hummingbird marketplace, etc.
