Head to Sea on Virgin Voyages with Aviation American Gin for Company

Passengers on vacations aboard Richard Branson&rsquos Virgin Voyages need not envy those flying Virgin Atlantic over matters of spirited company. Aviation American Gin, co-owned by actor and producer Ryan Reynolds, will now be available on the cruise liner too.   

After teaming up with Virgin Atlantic to bring Aviation Gin to the sky, this dynamic duo is taking their charming (and delicious) partnership to the seven seas. As part of the incredible on-board experience, Sailors can now enjoy expertly crafted cocktails with Aviation Gin at the forefront, according to a release issued by Virgin Voyages.

As an adult-only cruise experience, Virgin Voyages offers a sanctuary at sea for the 18 traveller with over 20 unique dining options, immersive entertainment and wellness-forward programming. Virgin Voyages offers incredible value for its Sailors, including unlimited access to all restaurants and eateries, group fitness classes, free WiFi and tips covered in the voyage fare, according to a company release. The brand currently has four ships on order with master shipbuilder Fincantieri and has operations in the US, UK and across Europe.

According to Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, he &lsquocan&rsquot seem to escape Ryan who keeps following him around&rsquo. &ldquoThankfully I really enjoy Aviation Gin so I was excited to bring this product to Virgin Voyages after their partnership with Virgin Atlantic,&rdquo said Branson.

Ryan Reynolds, co-owner of Aviation American Gin says, &ldquoMy childhood dream was to have a guest role on &lsquoThe Love Boat&rsquo alongside Vic Tayback. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I&rsquod be successful enough to have my own gin brand score a recurring role on a ship this deliriously luxurious and child-free. Only Richard Branson could make this type of magic happen.&rdquo

Passengers have to pre-purchase a Bar Tab, and will be able to choose from a selection of curated Aviation Gin-based cocktails on-board. From The Double Agent at SIP and Razzle Dazzle's Electric Fizz, to Stella's Groove at The Manor and Gunbae&rsquos twist on a classic French 75 sparkling cocktail.

According to the release, to bring Sailors an authentic, differentiated cocktail program, Virgin Voyages has partnered with some of the industry's well-known mixologists from Bar Lab and the Cocktail Cartel, to global bartending names like Charles Joly and Julia Momose. Each of Scarlet&rsquos signature eateries have a dedicated bar with drinks crafted for a specific beverage vision and tailor-made to complement its culinary concept. A unique, bespoke drinks with the best ingredients, without the premium price tag.

Aviation American Gin, according to a release, is the world&rsquos highest rated gin (97 points, Wine Enthusiast) and helped establish a new style of American gin - softer and smoother, with juniper in the background and citrus and floral notes in the front - resulting in more balanced cocktails. Created by a unique bartender / distiller partnership, Aviation is crafted in small batches in Portland, Oregon (US).
