Goa Unlocks its Bars

Bars in Goa are open, and you do not need a COVID-19 certificate to travel to the state

Under Unlock 4, the Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant, has announced that all authorised and licensed bars in Goa will be allowed to open from September 1, with necessary safety guidelines in place. 

He also stated that as per the same guidelines, there will no longer be COVID tests, COVID-negative certificates, or home isolation for those travelling to Goa.

The sunshine state has over 10,000 licensed bars across the state which have faced financial losses during the lockdown. Bar owners had been repeatedly urging CM Sawant to allow the reopening of watering holes to revive the state&rsquos economy.

Goa's famous beach shacks continue to remain shut they are likely to reopen from October  when the tourist season begins on the coastal belt.

In this regard, the air bubble that has been established between India and other countries like USA, UK, Germay USA, Canada, France, Maldives, UAE and Qatar and others is expected to  bring foreign tourists to the coastal state.&nbspAir India has also planned to operate four additional flights between UK and Goa via Delhi.
