Goa Food & Cultural Festival

This festival will showcase Goa's unique cultural and culinary traditions

The Goa Food & Cultural Festival will be held between May 10 -14 this year at the DB Bandodkar Ground in Campal, Panaji. Some of the state's best restaurateurs will dish out authentic Goan cuisine along with chilled concoctions. The festival will also feature a live distillation unit of feni on site to educate and inform tourist about the feni making process.

The entertainment line-up includes performances by bands like The Local Train from Delhi, Antariskh from Delhi, Lagori from Bangalore, Bombay Bassment from Mumbai and Bad Blood from Goa.

Goa's very own stars like Sonia Shirsat and Joe D' Costa, Lorna and many more local Goan artists and performers will also be performing. This year, the highlight of this festival will be amammoth performance stage, complete with anLED wall.

The sound and lights is being designed and managed by Roger Drego who has worked for international stars like Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and Michael Jackson.

A cookery competition will be held on May 14. This annual festival is organised by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation, in association with Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, will showcasethe unique culinary traditionsof Goa and other aspects of the state'sculture.
