Head over to the 400-year-old St. Anne--s Church in Talaulim for the Touxeachem Feast

Want to join Goans celebrating Touxeachem Feast Konkani for Cucumber Feast, it&rsquos held at the Church of St. Anne or the Santana Church located at Talaulim. On July 29, 2016, the church, which is over 400 years old, will celebrate the saint&rsquos Feast Day. Pilgrims from all over Goa, especially newly-wed couples, flock to the church to seek the blessings of St. Anne, who was herself blessed with a child after 40 years. Pilgrims buy cucumbers as offerings and take them back to be eaten at home. It&rsquos a vibrant scene and you will find local vendors selling sweetmeats and other savouries.
