Join surfers from around the globe at the Covelong Point Classic Surf Competition to be held in Covelong (Kovalam) village near Chennai from September 18-20, 2015. The competition, now in its third year and sponsored by the TT Group and EarthSync, has been added to the Asian Championship Tours schedule this year, which will attract professional surfers to the competition. Besides the international competition, the 3-day event, also supported by the Surfing Federation of India, will include a national surf competition, live music, yoga, skateboarding, food and other fun activities. The TT Group has been promoting surfing in the area as a means to help the tsunami affected village to find gainful employment opportunities.
