Book your dates to enjoy the Konark Dance Festival and the International Sand Art Festival in early December

Odisha to welcome the start of the peak tourist season with two grand festivals to be held simultaneously from December 1-5, 2015. The 13th century Sun Temple (about 65km by road from Bhubaneswar) forms the background to the Konark Dance Festival. The festival not only showcases the classical Odissi dance for which the state is famous but also other classical dance forms. At the same time, the International Sand Art Festival will take place on the Chandrabhaga Beach (3km from Konark). Renowned international and national artists will participate in the festival. Odisha Tourism, who organises both festivals, also operates special package tours covering the festivals.
