Head to Frankfurt for the annual apple wine festival

The city of Frankfurt will host the annual Apple Wine Festival from August 11 to 20. Celebrating the tradition of apple wine making, which goes back over three centuries, there are going to be poetry sessions, music for the young and the old, besides unique apple wine cocktails. And one can also enjoy traditional wines. On sale will be a selection of apple wine merchandise and utensils, along with the famous bembelthe blue-grey earthenware jug from which apple wine is traditionally served.

The festival takes place at Rossmarkt (Mon Thur, 11am11pm FriSat, 11am12am visit frankfurt-tourismus.de).
