From June, Travel From Kerala To Goa, Mumbai And Ayodhya Via This Private Train

Starting next month, tourists from Kerala will have the unique opportunity to embark on private train journeys to popular destinations like Goa, Mumbai, and Ayodhya. This new venture has been introduced by Chennai-based tour operator SRMPR Global Railways in collaboration with Kochi's Princy World Travel Limited. The first private train service from Kerala will start on June 4.

About The Service

This innovative service offers the unique opportunity to book a private train journey, accommodating individuals or groups of up to 600 passengers, delivering a bespoke and premium travel experience to the most coveted destinations in Kerala. The debut journey is set to depart from Thiruvananthapuram on June 4, making its way to Madgaon in Goa.

Designed to cater to a range of budgets and preferences, this four-day tour package is meticulously arranged, offering accommodation options of 2-tier AC at INR 16,400 per person, 3-tier AC at INR 15,150 per person, and a non-AC sleeper class at INR 13,999. The package is all-encompassing, including lodging, meals, sightseeing, and additional perks such as off-board excursions by bus, hotel accommodations, guided tours, and travel insurance, all aimed at providing a seamless and memorable travel adventure.

The First Venture

This initiative represents a landmark moment as it signifies Kerala's first venture into the private tourist train sector, following the Indian Railways' launch of the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains. These trains form part of a strategic effort to foster private investment in managing theme-based tourist circuits throughout India.

Before this, similar private train tours have been successfully initiated in other states, such as Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, offering a variety of thematic journeys and pilgrimage tours. This forward-thinking approach to travel is anticipated to dramatically enhance Kerala's tourism sector, offering travelers an unparalleled opportunity to explore these iconic destinations in unparalleled comfort and elegance.

What's On Offer

The train is set to offer services to Mumbai, Goa, and Ayodhya, with its inaugural journey headed to Goa. Passengers who have pre-booked their tickets can embark on this journey from various stations including Trivandrum, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasargode. Designed to accommodate up to 750 passengers, the train boasts an array of facilities including 2 sleeper class compartments, 11 third class AC coaches, and 2 second class AC coaches.

For passenger comfort and safety, a contingent of 60 staff members, including medical professionals, will be on board. Additional amenities provided include food services, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a GPS tracking system for real-time updates. The tour package also offers accommodations in star-rated hotels, along with meals and guided sightseeing excursions.

The Fares

The fares differ according to the distances covered. If you plan to travel to Goa for a 4-day trip, you can choose between the following options: a non-AC sleeper for INR 13,999, a 3-tier AC for INR 15,150, or a 2-tier AC for INR 16,400. Similarly, for a Mumbai trip, you can choose between a non-AC sleeper for INR 15,050, a 3-tier AC for INR 16,920, or a 2-tier AC for INR 18,825. For an 8-day Ayodhya trip, INR 30,550 for a non-AC sleeper, INR 33,850 for a 3-tier AC, and INR 37,150 for a 2-tier AC. This trip covers several temples and pilgrimage destinations in Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. Children up to 5 years old can travel for free. Children between 5 and 10 years old can travel at half the price of an adult ticket.
