India is in a lockdown situation for about a week more, and there are various pieces of information doing the rounds as to what might happen next. The 21-day lockdown is slated to end on April 14, 2020, that is next week, Tuesday.

Various reports are doing the rounds that domestic and international flights will be allowed to operate post the lockdown, in a staggered manner.

However, Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Civil Aviation, called this a mere speculation in a tweet he sent out.

He said the decision for restarting operations post lockdown is yet to be taken and if required, the assessment will be done on a case to case basis.

Reports stating that the government will allow operations have been doing rounds, stating that airlines might cancel the tickets booked, if the lockdown is extended. According to the reports, all major airlines except Air India are open for domestic bookings post April 14. Air India, however, is taking bookings for dates post April 30 only.
