ALT EFF Do Not Miss this Film Festival about the State of the Environment

According to experts, to keep global heating levels at 1.5 degree Celsius, as agreed upon by world leaders, the world has to reduce its carbon emission to half. Despite efforts to cut back on carbon emission, according to a United Nation report, it is expected to rise by 16 per cent by 2030. Clearly, not enough is being done in this matter.

Determined to drive the lesson home, All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF), has decided to build a platform to encourage communities &lsquoto take action towards creating a sustainable future, locally and at large&rsquo. Presenting its second edition until October 17, ALT EFF is probably India&rsquos first and only cinema festival which showcases only films based on environmental conservation.

In its second edition, they are showcasing 44 films from 31 countries under ten categories. The films talk about environment, conservation, climate change, and other related issues. For a full list, see here.

To attend the virtual festival, you have to purchase a ticket for a curated film bundle or obtain an individual film pass.  Once you make the purchase, your ticket will be booked and you will be able to watch chosen films on their platform up October 17, 2021.

Curated film bundle includes Drive Thru Shorts, Activision, Midnight Tails, What&rsquos On Your Plate, Sapling Stories (Kids Friendly), Flux & Form, Programmer&rsquos Choice, A Chasm of Hope, New Voices, and Deep Dive Features.

Besides, there are a host of live events pertaining to environmental conservation. This is also your chance to see some of the award-winning films such as Moti Bagh, Ophir, Pangolin Man, Shaba, and more.
