Noida’s Jungle Trail Park Opens As India’s First Waste-To-Wildlife Destination

Residents of Noida have a new reason to step outdoors as the much-awaited Jungle Trail Park in Sector 94 officially opened to the public on December 1, 2025. Built entirely from scrap and discarded materials, the park is India’s first large-scale waste-to-wildlife attraction, transforming industrial waste into life-sized animal sculptures across global wildlife zones.

The 18.27-acre park, developed at a cost of INR 25 crore, was inaugurated by Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Pankaj Singh before opening to the public. Located near the Mahamaya Flyover, the park transforms a once barren tract of land into a vibrant ecological and artistic environment, blending sustainability, education and recreation.

Built Entirely From Scrap: 650 Wildlife Sculptures Across Continents

A key feature of the park is its use of over 400 tonnes of recycled material, including discarded iron rods, motor parts, gears, chains, electric poles and wiring. Indian artists have repurposed these materials to create more than 650 animal and bird sculptures, making Jungle Trail the world’s largest artificial jungle from scrap.

The installations depict wildlife from all seven continents, from tigers, lions and elephants to penguins, sharks and octopuses. Infrastructure elements such as benches, gazebos and lighting fixtures are also crafted from recycled components, reinforcing the park’s sustainability-driven design. 

Developed under a Public-Private Partnership between the Noida Authority and Z-Tech, the project aims to show how creative recycling can serve both environmental and public engagement goals.

Miyawaki Forest And Night Safari Experience Add To The Immersion

Beyond sculptures, Jungle Trail Park has undergone extensive ecological restoration. Over 3.5 lakh plants have been planted using the Miyawaki forest method, enabling rapid growth and dense green cover within a year. Once barren, the area is now becoming a thick mini jungle that attracts birds and supports urban biodiversity. 

Another highlight is the night safari-style experience, where illuminated animal sculptures come alive after sunset. A light-and-sound system recreates animal calls, forest ambience and movement sounds, offering visitors a heightened sensory experience in the evening. Officials confirmed that more immersive night-themed attractions will be added in the coming months.

Adventure Activities Amphitheatre And Family Amenities

Jungle Trail Park goes beyond visual installations by offering adventure and recreational activities. Thrill-seekers can enjoy zip-lining, zip-cycling, rock climbing, boating and bungee-style setups, while children have access to dedicated play zones. All adventure activities are ticketed separately from general entry.

Visitor infrastructure includes a 1,000-seat amphitheatre, exhibition spaces, a multi-kiosk food court, drinking water points, toilets and shaded seating areas. Parking accommodates eight buses and 76 cars, and free e-cart services are available for visitors with mobility needs. 

Officials said the park has been designed as a full-day family destination, combining eco-tourism with experiential learning and outdoor leisure.

Ticket Price, Timings And A New Urban Landmark For NCR

The park remains open daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, with an entry fee of INR 120 per person. Children below three years of age can enter for free. Tickets are available for purchase both online and at the gate, while adventure activities incur additional charges.  

Positioned beneath the Mahamaya Flyover, the park has already begun drawing steady footfall during its trial phase. Officials believe it will soon become one of the most visited family attractions in the National Capital Region (NCR).

By merging sustainable design, recycled art, green landscaping and adventure elements, Jungle Trail Park represents a new model for urban leisure spaces.
