Delhi's Amrit Udyan Now Open For Public Viewing: Know About Dates, Timings, Online Booking Details

Delhi's renowned Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan, formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, will be open to the public for the spring season from February 2 to March 30, 2025. On Monday, the President's Secretariat announced that the gardens will be accessible to visitors six days a week, with Mondays reserved for maintenance.

About The Gardens

The Amrit Udyan, formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, is located in Lutyens' Delhi. These gardens are primarily situated within the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex, the official residence of the President of India. Lutyens' Delhi, named after British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, is renowned for its impressive colonial-era architecture and meticulously planned landscaping.

Thanks to its excellent location, there are many attractions to explore near Amrit Udyan. The garden plays a significant role in the architectural and horticultural legacy of the area. During the season when Delhi bursts with new flowers and fruits, the gardens open to the public for a few months. Amrit Udyan - Entry, Dates And Timings

Here’s everything you need to know before visiting Amrit Udyan. The gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan will be open to the public from February 2 to March 30, 2025, daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, with the last entry at 5:15 PM. They will be closed on Mondays. Additionally, the gardens will be open exclusively for specific groups on the following dates: March 26, 2025, for differently-abled persons; March 27, 2025, for personnel of the defence, paramilitary, and police forces; March 28, 2025, for women and tribal women's self-help groups (SHGs); and March 29, 2025 for senior citizens

Booking slots and entry to the Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan during Udyan Utsav are free. You can book slots online or visit the venue for direct walk-in registration. Online bookings can be made through the Rashtrapati Bhavan website - https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in. Reservations are available for specific hourly slots; a mobile number is required for online bookings. Only one booking is allowed per mobile number, and a maximum of 30 visitors can be included in a single booking. Walk-in visitors must register at the Registration/Information Centre or the Self-Service Kiosks before entering through Gate No. 35.

You can enter through Gate No. 35 of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on North Avenue Road. To ensure a smooth visit, carry your digital visitor pass on your mobile phone. Remember, your arrival time at the entry gate should align with your booked time slot. To make the most of your visit, don't forget to bring your visitor pass along with a valid government-issued ID.
