Next time you are in Odisha, look out for the wall murals about COVID-19.

Local artists in the state have been trying to let the public know through their art about the steps needed to reduce the spread of the deadly virus, including social distancing, wearing masks, and personal hygiene.

Some of the paintings can be seen around the walls of Adimata Colony in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation&rsquos (BMC) ward number 12 and Rangamatia village in ward number 9.

Local media reports state that members of self-help groups (SHGs) were given the responsibility for the paintings to make them self-dependent during the lockdown. According to reports, wall paintings on 2,000 sq ft have been completed so far and more are coming up.

In other parts, wall art is centred around regional cartoon characters like Natia and his iconic saying, "Walk the talk"
