If no, you are doing great in Mumbai If Yes, be patient for some more time because very soon you will be able to say goodbye to road traffic woes and the bustle of Mumbai locals. We hear speed boats will soon start operations between Navi Mumbai and the Gateway of India in South Mumbai.
For speed boat services, the process of procuring berthing space at the anchorage located at the Gateway of India is under way. Hopefully services will soon start between Gateway of India, Nerul and Belapur.
The boat service is expected to cut down the commute time between the two points to just 30-40 minutes, unlike the current situation. A new jetty at the Radio Club is also expected soon as it will help take some load off the Gateway of India.
With speedboats, ferries and catamarans, travel will be much easier in future. But that's not all, other water transport projects like row-on, row-off (RoRo) too, will start soon
