Change in Tatkal train ticket rules

The Indian Railways is also planning to introduce Tatkal Special train

Indian Railways has made some changes to its existing rules for reservation of Tatkal tickets. Those booking Tatkal tickets for AC classes will have to book between 10am and 11am while those booking for non-ac classes will have to book between 11am and 12noon. The Railways is also planning to introduce Tatkal Special trains (trains on busy routes with Tatkal fares applicable) as well as planning to refund a part of the price of cancelled Tatkal tickets reportedly, the refund could be upto 50% of the price of the train ticket. Indian Railways has also decided to rename its Premium trains as Suvidha trains and plans to overhaul the ticket price structure, cancellation and booking rules soon.
