Chandrayaan-2 is only few days away from landing on the south pole of the moon. Come September 7, if everything goes well, Chandrayaan-2 will land on the surface of the moon. As on Sunday, September 1, Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft has made its fifth and final orbit around the moon, achieving an orbit of 119km x 127km. And as of today, September 2, Vikram Lander&nbspis no longer controlled by the Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter as it has been separated from the spacecraft (1315 Hrs IST). We are now just one step away from the final and most crucial aspect the Moon landing. We all have been following every little developments of Chandrayaan-2 and now on September 7, whole world will be watching the historic moment when an Indian space agency will land a rover on the south pole of the moon for the first time. The south pole of the moon is also affectionately known as the dark side of the moon.
