It feels like answering the questions back in the school days where the major threat to the environment was global warming. Yes, the frozen Zanskar River in Ladakh where the famous Chadar trek takes place is under threat of increased global warming and disturbing activities from the visitors. The 105km stretch of frozen river is a wonderful natural phenomenon which was initially used by the locals to carry out their business of selling pelts, food, utensils etc. But soon the path was undertaken by the trekkers and the famous Chadar trek was introduced to the world.
