Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong's home carrier, has unveiled its Premium Economy cabin for flights between Chennai and Hong Kong. The Premium Economy cabin will be available on the airline's Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which features Business, Premium Economy, and Economy class cabins to cater to diverse travel preferences.

Anand Yedery, Cathay Pacific's Regional Head of Customer Travel and Lifestyle, shared during the launch: "We are excited to introduce our Premium Economy cabin to the Chennai market. This addition reflects our dedication to offering customers greater comfort and choice. With evolving travel needs, we aim to enhance the air travel experience by bridging the gap between Business and Economy classes, especially for medium- and long-haul flights."

The Premium Economy cabin offers a blend of comfort and sophistication with features designed for relaxation and convenience. Travellers can enjoy seats with enhanced recline, extra legroom, ergonomic headrests, full-length calf rests, leather-padded footrests, and spacious meal tables for dining or working. Personalised storage spaces and access to Disney+ Originals ensure a seamless and enjoyable journey.

In addition to the Premium Economy launch, Cathay Pacific is increasing flight frequencies on the Chennai-Hong Kong route to meet growing demand. Flights will operate four times weekly between January 2 and March 1, rising to five times per week from March 2 to March 30.
