Bus travel between India and Bangladesh enhanced

Indian cities of Agartala, Guwahati, Kolkata and Shillong connected to Dhaka, Bangladesh

Bus connectivity between India and Bangladesh expands with the introduction of two new routes Kolkata-Dhaka-Agartala and Guwahati-Shillong-Dhaka. The governments of Tripura and West Bengal will run a bus each on the Kolkata-Dhaka-Agartala route while the Bangladesh government will run the solo bus on the Guwahati-Shillong-Dhaka route. Separate bus services have been operating between Dhaka-Kolkata and Dhaka-Agartala for sometime now.
