British Airways Now Serves A New Craft Beer Brewed Mid-Air

Airports in general are never placed high among peoples list of places to be, perhaps because you always need to find passage through arduous checking&rsquos (which, more often than not are teeming with crowds), not to mention the tremendously luminous corridors. The next time you&rsquore being shoved around to buy a ticket or having to forcefully cue up to be strip-searched by a middle-aged man/woman, keep thinking about how it&rsquos worth it as once you get to the aircraft you can now put your worries behind by ordering a frosty transatlantic IPA. British Airways teamed up with Scottish craft brewery BrewDog to concoct a bespoke brew that has been crafted onboard one of BA&rsquos aircrafts while traversing at a velocity of 500 mph

In accordance to research conducted by Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, the cabin environment can alter your ability to detect certain tastes, namely the sweet and salty ones by about 30%. Ergo, the Speedbird 100 has been formulated keeping in mind flavours that would appeal to passengers mid-flight.

&ldquoThe key thing is that the bitterness and fruit flavours aren&rsquot really affected by the altitude, so we wanted to play on those two things and ramp up the sweetness,&rdquo BrewDog founder Martin Dickie said.

Beginning May, the airline will offer cans of the new brew, these specially curated cans will also be obtainable at select lounges as well as all of BA&rsquos short-haul and long-haul flights.
